Fin Allie 5/21 (Pix added)

Fished with the Fin Allie crew today. Started at the little dump, worked our way south throughout the day. Went from zeros to heros at 9:30 boating a quadruple header + a pitch. slow fishing picking at dolphin with some finicky shoppers. Released one looking for tags, tagged another when better prepared. Ended the day going 2 for 3 on sails, releasing a double header. Final tally 12 dolphin, 1 wahoo, 2 sails, and 4 jillion pounds of salad. Slow fishing on a flat calm ocean. Glad to be back fishing the circle hook rigs.

Forgot to mention…left my sunglasses in the truck…brutal.

Good work. Catch up with you later.

Despite a schizophrenic auto-pilot & the constant threat of getting weed-whacked, a pretty good catch of meatfish and the sails showing up for the classic end-of-day tournament climax. Fun day on the Ocean.

Also, impressive crewmanship of volunteer weekend warrior types.

Good going on your day. Sounds like a great day on the water and some good club points!!!

Thanks !

Great report, awesome pics, shows you can get good pics of billfish without hauling them out of the water.

my supah rucky shirt…told to get it out of the bag and put it on. Most expensive shirt I own.

Thanks for handing off the spare bait to us, we put it to good use.

show me the freezer on that rig,and I will give all the leftovers.

Actually, WD said he’d prefer you to just toss whatever old bait you have directly into the bed of his truck up in the parking lot.

He’s developed a special solar brining technique…incredible.

Swamp,

Congrats on the day. Very nice. Always nice to catch a sailing fish or two. As far as the Diamonds T, would that be a 1997 vintage shirt from my bachelor’s party? If so, that was a pricy shirt. Just give it a few more years and it will be a classic and the value should be at least $5.00. Ha…

could be…thats a nice bluefish you have in the trident. Our wahoo held up for second in the SCSSA and had second place billfish boat.

Nice pics.

Will,

Good job on the pair of 2nds. It is nice to get a little $ help on the fishing trip.

And yes the bluefish gods have been nice to me the last few springs, they just don’t seem to hang around all summer like they used to.
