Fin Loco Monday on a flat ocean

Started out of Shem Creek at 4am and discovered that I had very little steering and stopped and got some fluid from one of the shrimp boats at the dock. Thanks Capt.(put some fish in your ice box on the way back in). With the steering fixed we ran out and back on a beautiful ocean. Had out limit of b-liners before the sun came up. Highlight of the day was tuna busting all around us. caught 3 blackfin and 2 false albies.

Total for the day.
20 BSB
20 Huge B-liners
8 Silvers
1 Scamp
13 Triggers
3 Blacfin
6 Red Snapper (released healthy)
And 1 Stowaway

Good job! How deep?

Love seeing those queen triggers - great job!

Tunas were from 130-200 ft. Was awesome watching them blowing up bait and watching the whole fish come 4 to 5 ft out of the water.

between jordan’s report and yours seems like there are a lot of BFT’s out there right now.

Thanks for posting and congrats on a good day.

Nice day, nice haul. Did you troll up the blackfins or cast to them?
