Anyone have any experience with these? I know they make good saltwater conventional gear, but I didn’t know they dabbled in the fly fishing world.
Pros and Cons? Should I stay away from this stuff and stick to the big brand names?

Fin Nor has made fly gear for a while, i dont know if they still do, however. Their older reels, the “wedding cakes” are sought after by collectors, and their newers ones are bomb proof. Honestly, Ive never cast or seen a FN rod, but they are prob good. If its an older rod, you might have warranty issues w/ them if it ever breaks (I dont think they still make the long rods).
I have an OLD Fin Nor fiberblass rod up at my brother’s place in NC. Heavy bulletproof fiberglass rod, slow action about an 8 wt equivalent. I haven’t used it in the past 12 years. You could almost grow a beard waiting for the cast to develop with that one.

Not that I want a two piece, but I saw this one when searching for 12wts and this one came up. I had just never seen one before. Looks like they no longer make this one.
23, fin-nor, doesnt/hasn’t make any trash… been making fly reels since saltwater flyfishings inception… would guess that rods are made by another manu., and labeled as fin-nor (very common in ff industry)…Too busy, check ebay b4 you sell rod as value could be significantly higher due 2 fin=nor name… just my .02…

I bought a FN spinning reel a few years ago. Turns out that it was made in Bangladesh… it quickly succumbed to the salt. It probably would have been OK in a fresh water situation.
