Finally got 1 in the boat!

After losing 6-7 monster (only knew by the fight) reds I had to change up my tactics. Changed my line (Thanks Stonoman!), and changed my location in relation to the place I was casting into. Managed to finally get one in the boat (32") and followed that up by 2 more (29" and 31"). I threw a small party when I got the first one in the boat after loosing so many…

Thanks for all the tips on here everybody…the best I’ve received on here is keep trying different places and don’t spend more than 15-20 min at a spot without catching anything, They have (in the past week) been killing cut mullet and live on a carolina rig

Great job, and welcome to the site! It gets a whole lot harder to mow the lawn on weekends after you boat a few! You just want to go out and keep getting more!

How do you like that matzuno orange colored spinning combo with the bass handle? My dad has one but no fish on it yet

There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the mud minnow.

The matzuno is great considering the price! Picked it up at Wally World and have caught a good number of fish with no problems at all. Drag is not the smoothest but overall I’ve been really happy with it. The only thing I’m worried about is the durability… Only time will tell.
