just picked this bad boy up today! gonna get it registered and add a trolling motor to it gonna get a fish finder / gps on it! and a few other things im loving it so far took it out to the lake behind my house and was super stable im able to stand on the bow of it and fish just fine! i can walk around on it and not even worry about falling im 6’0 240
I saw this model at bass pro in myrtle beach yesterday. Seems like a good deal for the price. The seat wasn’t bad either and seemed much better than most kayaks in that price range. I use the water snake asp t18 trolling motor on my kayak. It only weights 3 lbs and its 18 lbs of thrust gets me moving at a slow jogging pace. I’ve had it out more times than I can count last year and its great. I paid less than $90 for it on amazon last spring. I use a big marine battery which is over kill but I have the weight capacity on my malibu so I don’t mind. I’ve gone 8 miles round trip with no problem. Good luck on your rig. If you get a fish finder/gps combo I recommend the Lowrance Mark 4. Its affordable and mine has take a beating and gets soaked all the time and it works great.
