finally got on the yak

work has really been keepin me off the water lately. finally got out on wateree river this weekend with some great friends for an overnight to celebrate my buddy getting married next weekend. shellcrackers were everywhere and i was catchin em on one of those tiny little 24" spinnin setups. one good hand sized bream almost spooled me! anyway just good to be on the boat and throwing any reel… whatever size!

Those little 24 inch set ups are actually ice fishing rods, I grew up in wisconsin so i was surprised to see them down here, i bet they are fun to catch a non lethargic fish on though!

Anything that bends the rod is great! Gratz and hope to do the same VERY soon. This wind lately here is killing me but just need to get on the water.

We’re stuck between Barack and a hard place. Hide their food stamps under their working boots.

Manta Ray 14’

effective casting range with a small beetle spin… about 10’! i purchased that rod for lynches so i can get under logs n such with it intact. super fun for the tiny fish!

Sounds like a fun trip
