Finally got to go....

It has been 2 months since I last wet a hook for a rockfish. My boat was thinking that I had forgotten about her and I was going through withdrawals . So Saturday I headed to Ned’s (Better Bait) around 5 and loaded up on some nice herring then to Jake’s to put in. Got on the water around 5:30 and headed out. Started looking for fish and stopped on a hump drop-off in about 75’ (thanks Chip) near a deeper channel. Marked some fish so I put the rods out. It wasn’t fast and furious and I wasn’t marking any real big schools, but I got my limit by about 8 or so and headed back to the landing. Ended up with 1 about 21", 1 about 22 " and the rest were between 25" and 27". I fished about 4 cranks up off the bottom. Man, it sure felt good to be back on the water.

Morning. I had planned to leave by 9:00 anyway just to stay ahead of the heat.
