10-1: have never been very good inshore fishing, but even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then. Fished the entire incoming tide. Started casting topwater and mirrolures with no takers. Switched to trout trick and picked up 4 short trout. Tried live shrimp but they only wanted the TT. Switched to finger mullet under cork and found a school of reds on oyster bank. Literally got a bite most very cast. Caught 18, all 14-16 inches. All hooked in mouth with small circle hook and released. Only the one in the photo even came out of the water. Many had cool spot pattern like this one. Moved to another spot trying to find a bigger one. No luck but picked up 2 keeper trout on TT. Ran out to nearshore reef off Edisto again looking for h big red. No luck but caught a dozen whiting, 5 weakfish, and 3 sharks. Easily my best inshore day ever. Love the fall.
