Finally!

Got my first tailer!

I want to thank my new “mentor” - you know who you are… for the tips and the encouragement

Ended up going 1 for 3 today with a breakoff and spit hook

Now I want more

nice looking fish. better than when i went yesterday; 0 for 2 with two break offs. the first was the first cast out of the kayak and easily would be been the biggest tailer i’ve ever caught. i’m sort of glad i didn’t catch it because the huge grin that’d have been stuck on my face would look silly in a picture.

then came a group in a couple canoes and i didn’t see any fish for some reason after they passed.

Awesome Job Optiker! Still waiting on mine after about a year. I’ve had 4 hooked, none landed, and about 1,000 spooked 'cause I suck at casting!!

Nice Optiker! Let me know when you want to begin training someone yourself. My fly rod is collecting dust cause I just don’t have the knowledge.

Never talked to ya before, but good job…! You will always want more… more is never enough…

Awesome Bro… get ready because October is usually pretty darn good for tailing and once winter sets inand the water clears up I got a few spots we can go abuse thoroughly

Thanks y’all! Yes I have definitely paid my dues. Took me probably 15 dedicated trips. But mainly because I didn’t have a very productive flat. I was beginning to think all this talk of tails was BS ha ha. Now I look forward to getting more accurate at casting and presenting the fly in a way they can’t resist
