We were getting into schools of nice size reds today but they didn’t want to bite anything. I noticed the pressure was rising when we were out there and they were surrounded by mullet. We threw top water, jigs/spinners with swim baits and just about every other kind of lure you could think of. Even threw a popper with a artificial shrimp and a red came and tailed it like 5 times but wouldn’t take it. Any thoughts? Was it because of the rising pressure or just all the live bait around?
Why didn’t you soak mullet?
Havent used live bait in over a year…wanting to catch on artificial baits…ive used some cut bait recently and not much luck with that.

Some times no matter what you do they dont bite. No way to figure it out.
I got lucky with a gold spoon and a trout trick with similar conditions the other day.
