In February and early March, strong cold fronts pass through the Lowcountry on a weekly basis. They a followed by a cool northeasterly breeze, Carolina blue skies and tough fishing. In post cold front conditions Trout will not be actively feeding. So, the key to catching them is fishing a lure that can illicit a reaction strike. For me, the Z-Man Finesse TRD or HogZ on a 1/5 ounce NedlockZ jig are the go to post cold front lures. A quick snap and long pause retrieve consistently produces Trout on days when other anglers are struggling to get a bite. Give it a try.
And without a loop-knot to boot. Thanks for sharing.
