FINISHED Depth finder transducer mount....

So, I am adding a new depth finder to my boat (again). This one is a DSI scan style and says in the manual that it does not work well shooting through hull. So, I am going to try and mount it off the side of my 2006 Ride 135 (no slide trax system)

I took a Harmony Transducer arm made for the slide trax, and coupled it to a Yak attack screw ball, and then to a Yak attack dog bone with the connection kit. THis looks like it should work well, and it is adjustable and removable quickly.

Any thoughts on this set up? Any advice on mounting in front of the seat or behind?

Looks good Dave…

Dave,
Why not just use Yak Attack’s version of the slide trax and the transducer arm? Also Hummingbird has a suction cup attachment you could put anywhere.
Good luck!

Let us know how it works out. A FF is on my list of things I want for Christmas.

My FF transducer is mounted to the rudder mount holes in the back of my yak. Works great though I have to remember I’m 6ft away from what I’m seeing.

I got the Lowrance Elite 4DSI (Non-GPS).

I debated leaving the dog bone out and just putting a RAM ball right on the side, but the dogbone lets me get it completely out of the way:
