I have an offer for 4 Finn Norr 50W. Anyone have experience have with them. I have heard they were great but have some concerns. For instance can you still get parts?
Next question is on a decent rod what are they worth? Guy wants to sell me 4 but he is talking 2Gs seems like alot to me.

The Finn Nor reels were top notch at one time…I am not sure if parts are still available…Years ago I changed over to Shimano"s and have been very happy with them…Twelve to sixteen hundred sounds more reasonable…GOOD LUCK…

You would probably be better off with shimano’s or Penn-internationals I do not even know who to take my rods and reels to be repaired since my friend is no longer with us ,he was one of the best.Anyone know who does custom rods and reel repair??

My uncle used 50s for 20+ years through the 80s and 90s. Its what I grew up using offshore, so they hold a special place for me. All he ever did to em was take apart and clean every January. Never had an issue with them. They always seemed pretty bullet proof to me.
How old are the reels?
