We got off to a late start the other morning but made the best of it. Curt, Mike, and Bob were diving, and 3 of us stayed up top for the rod and reel action. It was slow for us on the rods, but the others were having fun as you can see from the pictures. What made it even nicer was the boat. This was my first time fishing on a 36 Yellowfin, and everything I have ever read about them is true. Just stick it in the pins and put your feet up. After that trip yesterday I feel like my 28 is a canoe!!
i just creamed my pants looking at pictures of your boat. if i owned that boat i would even fish in it i would just wash it and tell it i love it everday. I love that boat. oh btw nice catch.
From reds to marlin you got it.

Not to bad of a trip, put in at 6:00 port motor will not go in to gear. go to the dock get tools out and beat on the shifter for almost 2 hours, finaly get it in forward get on the boat now ! everybody in ! off we go ,Im driving curt’s baby after fixing it.
we are late to the spot, so i push them to 5000 rpm @49.8 mph, only got 1600 rpm left. 3 ft at 11 sec no prob! we dove and got what eastbound showed the pic’s . now it picked up to 3 to 5 ft , Curt pushed it to 32 mph , for the first 12m then 40 till the port lower uint went. now 4m to beach on 2. time to go home push to 33mph then 36 then 38 on 2 motors !! and that is the rest of the story!
It is funny that this was a fishing post but everyone is slobbering over the boat, myself included. I REALLY like the big yellowfins. Maybe one day. Sorry to hear about your motor. I, well my whole family has had TERRIBLE luck with mercurys. I know every manufacturer has a few bad ones here and there but we always seem to find the bad mercurys. Hope the repair is not to bad.
