Picked up my first flyrod last week and hit the pond near my house. Managed to land this largemouth on a popper. I can see how getting the fly fishing bug can come real easy. What a blast. Hope to get good enough for those big reds on the flats.

IMO, topwater fly is the best way to catch a bass. For fishing during the day, get yourself an olive wooly booger. It has also been very successful for me.
Optiker and I hit a pond close to home last Saturday. I had 4 buckets and Opti landed 3 “Pancake” brim. All OTF!
