Got a late start Saturday out of Remleys @ 5:00 am and found bait in front of the fort. Went to some new #s in 90 feet and found some live bottom, great ride out on flat calm sea. Nice big red grouper first thing in the boat then a cut of by a large king right at the boat. An hour or so later another bigger Grouper and things are looking up for us when a drifting bait takes off and we get a hook up. King that weighed in later at 20.5 #s and first blood in the new to me Hydrasport 23wa. Headed for the hill when we heard someone ask about the storm on vhf. XM weather saved our backside with the Nexrad radar…GREAT INVESTMENT!!! Special thanks go out to Stretch and Jerms who were both great guys to have onboard and helped my crew out greatly not to mention Stretch caught all the Grouper. Thanks guys !! Total for the day two nice Grouper and one King that was first for the fisherman and the new boat. Pics soon.
had an absolute blast! Nice meetin the rest of the crew and can’t wait to do it again now that we’ve got some of the kinks worked out! Pics from my camera soon!
we’re only gonna die from our own arrogence. so we might as well take our time.

I had a blast… Will go out anytime with the Circus bunch … I will also not try to drink Charleston dry the night before… Anyway I enjoyed the time and lets do it again soon.
Likewise Sharkin…Big Al sure made our night with those oyster shooters also. We got a few kinks to work out yet but next time those fush better look out:smiley:
Dang Stretch those were some good looking plates of groceries…I left to early I guess. That picture at Remleys didnt do justice to the lightening all around at the time.
Thanks for the ride, TMJ. Good times and nice to meet the crew.
I saw the same marker we deep-6’d @ wally world the other day… it was in fact only 75’ of line. Good thing we put more lead on it and sent it down to the bottom or we may still be following it around…
Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?
Live and learn Jerms, I guess I should have read the label when I opened it up. Good time also on our part and hope to get back to it soon. Thanks for all your help with a sucessful day.
Got to admit the 100# mono and the 12# cannon ball with the fender was a good idea as a marker although the blue was kind of hard to keep up with. Jermes was on his game when he came up with that one.
