First Blood on IT'LL DO

I took the new boat off on 4/19 with a large crew of 6. I thought it was going to be a little cramped but not too bad on the 36 Yellowfin. It was the first trip for “IT’LL DO” offshore with hopefully many more to come in the future.

The afternoon before the trip and after numerous conversations, we decided on the direction in which to go. We arrived at the dock at 4am and had to get a few bugs out before we left. We traveled at speeds over 40mph and started fishing a little after 7. As the day went on we caught 3 blackfin, an @ 20lb phin, and an @ 40lb wahoo. We had opportunities on 7 or so other knockdowns. We will go back after those fish in the future.

Upon pulling lines, everyone got comfortable for the ride home. Local celeb, Sellsfish fell asleep and woke up at the rocks.

I have had her up to 67mph. I only have 18 hours on her with 11 on this past trip. We rode out at 42 mph and rode in at 45 mph. Could have come home faster but decided to cruise home.

It was very difficult trying to pull the small lures with the 8 to 10 oz weights on them! we were laughing the whole time about it!

That boat looks amazing…

Amazing boat. 900 HPs. Hate to ask how many Gal it takes per trip. … Well better not to know that at all. I am sure it rides phenomenal.

Kenny and I rode most of the way back on the cooler seat in front of the console and you couldn’t even hear those kittens purring! We were running 41mph @ 4100rpm and the fuel monitor was reading 35gph. I thought that was pretty sweet.

Thanks again Scott, I had a great time!
