first blue encounter 5-3-17

started day in 350 ft inshore of 226 hole, water was extremely dirty so kept pushing out to find the clean edge of blue water. Picked up one dolphin in about 450, and missed another! Continued to look for the good water. at about 8:30 the flat line trolled right above the dredge goes off like its hooked to a train! Yep man in blue suit has joined the party! after a quick Chinese fire drill to clear lines that seemed like it took forever, and not to mention almost dumping a 50! A couple of spectacular tail walks, and head shakes, we get the boat turned and start the chase down! Jumps a few more times and then dives down deep! battle on for the next 30 or so minutes finally get him to turn and after a couple nice boat moves, swivel hits top of rod, hand lands on liter to go to grab the Bill, and fish takes off again and decides to release himself! Another great day on the ocean, and finally got to see my Bill after 20+ years on water! A happy man here! non stop action after that once we found the blue water. Ended up with a dozen, but lost twice that much for some reason, the hooks were not sticking! But I did not care cuz we caught a blue! I coulda went home at 9:30! Thanks to Greg and his new 28 Cobia, Tracy and Dennis for the great company!

Congratulations kings, thanks for the post. Now you know what everybody’s been talkin about. lol
