First boat suggestion?

Heys guys,
I don’t post too much on here, i’m down here stationed at Parris Island. I was slated to go back overseas to Japan but it now looks like they are gonna send me to Camp Lejeune,NC for 3 yrs and it’s alot of flats and inshore fishing up there (what i like to do anyways) My question is i’m looking for a boat that can go shallow but can handle chop and 1-2 foot bays BUT most of all something the wife can ride comfortably! There is a Pathfinder 18 Yamaha 90 2 stroke on sale here and a Mitzi skiff 17 on here also, both these Motors have 400-500 hrs on them (don’t know much about outboards neither) and i’m see some Hewes and Sterling boats on boat trader for about 15K(with power pole, trolling motors jack plates), can you experience boaters give me some insight on which boat can handle fishing the flats and fishing the bays comfortably, not wanting to spend more than 15k on a first boat due to my in-experience.

thanks

the yamaha 90 2 stroke is probably one of the best motors ever made.
400 hours is about 25% of its life expectancy
pathfinder builds a great product, depending on the model (not the older tunnel hulls) they are going to ride better in the chop than the mitzi, but the mitzi will be more shallow

I agree with what Chris says. I would go Pathfinder. MBC has great customer service. Go to there forum and you can ask all the questions you want.

thanks guys, most of all the wife has to be comfortable fishing or riding on the boat! I mostly fish alone so she goes onece in a blue moon, the pathfinder floats in 10" and that it perfectly fine with me, it weigh’s about 1000lbs so if I need to pole it i can manage it somewhat. The Mitzi is at 500 lbs so more lighter but will get beat up on those windy day chop!
