First cast!!!

Got up to the lake around 7:30P.M on a flat calm lake and started throwing some spro bucktails. First cast with a pink 1oz. bucktail she nailed it within 5 seconds. It was 35 inches and weighed 16lbs a personal best. Caught a bunch more smaller ones and one more that was almost 26 and a few catfish. Also caught a nice crappie that was also my personal best on a bucktail! It was definetally a nice night out on the lake!

nice fish, awsom crappie, Im leaving now for Murry, hope I can do that well

Nice Striper i saw ya catch it ! i was on the key west trolling around ya. We caught nothing which was a shock to me as we had been doing very well. Had a women on board who claimed to never catch fish. Didn’t want to ruin it for her so we went home empty handed.
Guess we shouda stopped and thru some buck tails.
Again nice fish that first cast was a winner!

Ima tell you this. Those striper are eating nothing but tiny threadfins. We were all in them and had no luck. Use the bucktail ice fly combo. They seem to be everywhere up near the two rivers. You will be sorely dissapointed if you don’t match this hatch. Herring won’t get get you Jack when they are that picky.
