First day of spring with bonecrusher

I’ve been communicating with bonecrusher now for something like a year via email. We finally got a chance to fish together today. Forecast called for warm and calm winds. No… Cold, foggy and windy, meh.

We got along great and had a good time getting to know each other a little better. He’s a very good fisherman and great guy.

The 7ft high and wonky conditions had the pelicans hunkered down and the fish pretty shut off. My “client” did pretty good, with 3 trout. The daymaker pictured below was caught on a Trout Trick with a red TroutEye jig.

I was looking at a skunk until the 11th hour and 59th minute, and squeaked out a small trout. …March…SMH! I did pretty good as net-boy though :slightly_smiling_face:

Had to get off the water at 11, for other obligations, so it was a short day.

Looking forward to our next trip!

It’s good for us mere mortals to see guys like you struggle every now and then. It makes our skunky days a little easier to take.

Good fishing right there! I look forward to putting my TE’s to work soon as well!

Peapod will be along shortly to tell you about how you can’t fish conventionals with that hat on… Good report on a less than stellar weather day.

He’s a fly fisherman mostly. He can wear the hat with pride. Unlike me.
