first night sitting and kitty kat has to walk out

Now a raccoon…that’s a worthless chicken killer. They rip out the craw and leave the rest. They wiped me out after my wife killed our rooster for thumping her one to many times. I had wire over the top and bottom…except one spot and the SOB dug 3 feet under to get there…in one night.

Now that's a chicken palace. Where is the pool and lounge chairs? I think I see some drinks with umbrellas in them in the back.

A little heavier on materials than most, but there’s yotes, coons, possums, fox and hawks constantly trying to steal a meal. If you don’t secure above and below ground, you’ll get robbed blind.

Having raised turkeys, chickens, ducks, guineas, peafowl, and quail in the past, one learns quickly to build it right the first time.

Actully I understand what everyone is saying and yes I understand there are laws in place. But when a nuisance animal of this caliber that comes into my yard and attacks my chickens which we have for meat and eggs my quail which one killed all 25 in one night and got all of my muscovey ducklings this year something has to give. And yes my stand is with in an eye shot of my pens where all my birds are kept. They are not free range. And I have multiple spots in my pens that I have had to repair due to something coming in. Before my tral cam broke a few months ago I had what im pretty sure is the same cat leaving my pen with one of my smaller chickens in tow. So i am allowed to protect my family my animals and my livestock especially when I raise them for feed.

Depredation permits are free from SCDNR. Its good to have in your back pocket. Call Columbia; tell them you have cats attacking your chickens at your house and they’ll issue you one. Without it, you’re “hunting out of season” and they’ll fine you for that even though what you are doing is the right thing.

Or just kill the thing like anyone else would and not tell the world.

I normally don’t shoot them. Cool little animals to watch but, it’s kind of like a snake, I don’t need to kill all of them either.

Now a coyote or pig, I’d shoot one of them in the ass with a BB gun if I thought it’d get gangrene and die v

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
