I’ve been reading on this forum for about a month and decided to join. I live in the Beaufort area and fish from a kayak. This is my 1st time fishing during winter here. Went out today. The wind was low and the water was clear. Found some schools of reds but between the three of us fishing we only caught 3 total. It was really hard to get them to bite artificials. Going back out tomorrow to try again with some cut mullet. Any tips?
Also caught a red that looked like it had a bite mark on its back.

Welcome juke. Agree with Rad, they like to wear out the redfish this time of year.
