Fresh water fly fishing all my life - just caught first red on a fly! 9’ 8wt rod, threw copper shrimp pattern with green streamer, 1 1/2 hrs before a 9.4 high tide last evening - in grass flat north broad in Beaufort - calf deep - moderate but inconsistent retrieve. A real thrill. Thanks for all the info on the forum.
