I started getting into kayak fishing before I moved to Montana. Out West I fell in love with fly fishing. After moving back to Charleston, I bought a 9’ 8 weight. Finally got to take the kayak and fly rod out a couple weeks ago and caught my first red. Fish was caught on Johns Island with a copperhead crab.

Nice catch! I didn’t see it before, so good job. I just bought a kayak and fly rod so I’m really looking forward to catching a red on the fly
