I only had a short window to fish on Saturday. So I made sure that window was during high tide.
I got out on the flat and saw a tail right away. Third time on this flat and third time seeing some tails.

SS- congrats. That’s a stud fish for the grass. Multiple spots on the tail too- my favorite. Nice work, glad you got em. What’d he eat?
Dang nice fish. Now you are hooked.
I plan on living forever, so far so good

well done
quote:That's your FIRST OTF fish! I try to be nice but. I think I will hate you for a little while. And if you are under 5 feet tall (which would make that fish even bigger), I'll have to add a couple days.

Actually… great fish. Good on you.
Nice .
He took a clouser minnow. Fish was about 28" That seems to be the norm for me. 26-32.
My brother got his first tailing redfish on a nearby flat that came in at 35". It was still tailing too. I’m guessing this is it’s last year before it heads offshore.
He got his on a Zman paddler rigged with a flutter hook. On a 2500 size reel, 10 lb braid and a 6’6" shimano convergence rod.
