First Reds in the New Yak and Reds on the Flats

My first trip out in my Ride 135 and it was sweet! It paddles a little slow but really enjoyed being able to stand up and throw the cast net. Lot’s of tailers in 8-10" of rising tide. HIt Gulp crabs. Then on to other flats in the boat. Reds were all 21-29". The 29" weighed almost 12 lbs on the Boga. Great times with my son and his Lab!
Sorry for taking pic with fish on the Boga. I’m new to the yak thing and I will learn a better way for the fish to take a solo pic.

Sweeeet! Catching your first fish in a yak is really something isn’t it? Talk to Toobusy, he has mastered taking pictures of his fish. Good fishing there!

The best way to a fisherman’s heart is through his fly.

Mr. Lab doesn’t know if he wants to smell or chew haha

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

Congrats on the new yak and a good day in the grass !

Please note hanging a fish vertically on a boga or by any method can lead to serious injury or death (to the fish). The mortality studies on that subject are pretty staggering.
