I would like to share the pic of my first red on the long rod in SC. This is the rare subspecies of pigmy red. Thanks Doug for my maiden trip on the Stono!

Thanks for the comments guys. He was a little fellow but a blast none the less. That is an 8 wt Pflueger model 2078 President. I own two 8wts a 10, 6, and a 4. They are all matched with the Pflueger IM8 Trion Rods. No BS, dollar for dollar you can not find a better rod and reel. As a matter of fact, that was the first time that combo ever saw action. It just goes to show you don’t have to drop a lot of cash to have a nice combo. Take Care and thanks again! Hey Jeremy, I have a lot of vacation coming up, let’s hit the Saluda.

Let me know bud I have some time here and there but im pretty busy with work right now. Give me a heads up and I should be able to slip out I have Thursday-sunday off next week.
