First sheepshead Evar [pics]

Caught a good bit of sheepshead for it being our first time. Fished docks that our friend knew had fish. Caught 8, threw 2 back. 3 bigs, 3 smalls. Went threw about 80 fiddlers for the fish we caught… Heres some some pics.

Just as i suspected its that lava rock that turns dem sheeps on!! Nice fish…makin me hungry

^^^^ Nice job RM I still need to catch my first sheep.

At least you’ve caught a few. i have always fed those species with no luck in the past few years. But i’m giving it a go this year.

Too Fish or not Too Fish
That be the question!

I know that spot but I was always told that volcanic eruptions made the water too alkaline so there were no fish there. Guess that wasn’t true.

Now you will discover the joy of cleaning those sheeps. … Enjoy :stuck_out_tongue:

so THATS where all the sheep are hiding! picture just gave away the secret spot for all to see but nice fish tho!

Yes the Volcanoes made it difficult to fish, other boats were being melted by the second, but the Triton was indestructible.

Did Bergman catch any?

Thanks Vinman! No Ray purposely cut the line, so he would get the thrill.

Nice job RM. Was that you at the meeting last night in Summerville? Love the chart of the Ashley. You should send that to NOAA.

I had the pleasure of meeting him, BOSN. We offered to give Bergman a free membership so he could quit pretending to be thrilled by lost fish, but Ray won’t show up. Maybe Ray can do a seminar on the joys of getting skunked!

Great comeback, RM!

Hey Vin, I would be glad to step in as an alternate. I have “some” experience getting skunked. I could bring Connor, we could do a Father/Son deal. Of course I take it better than him.

LOL! You could do a “finding fish (at Captain D’s)” seminar and I could follow it up with a knot tying seminar which would help in case one accidently foul hooks itself!

…and I could do a boat cover and dock catching seminar…just ask Vinman he knows I am the Jedi Master…
