First time seeing this!!

Cruised up just past the Dawhoo bridge with my wife this weekend and had this catch my eye. I know the pictures aren’t very good but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this bird. Did a little research and found it is called a Roseate Spoonbill that is not native to this area. This one was a juvenile based on its coloring. Thought some of you guys would be interested in seeing this. We kept our distance while watching it feeding down the bank until it got tired of us taking its picture. :smiley:

Yes, they are becoming more prevalent in our area. They are beautiful IMO
