After a 6 month lay-off due to some health problems (had a quadruple by-pass in January) the doctor finally gave me the clearance to go fishing. Took the wife and granddaughter and some old friends and headed out. Ocean looked pretty green and we stayed inshore after a few early bites. Ended up with 6 dolphin, 2 kings, and a wahoo. All in all a great day and a wonderful blessing from the man upstairs to be able to enjoy the ocean again.
Smart move staying inshore.Dont have to go to far to catch fish now.
very nice to be able to get back to fishing and doing so with the family… As you say, the man upstairs, definitely shined upon you. Congratulations on your recovery.

Sounds like a nice day in a little closer, had a good variety in about 110’ on thursday 2 dolphin 2 kings 2 little tunny, 2 barracudas an aj and numerous knockdowns and short strikes in about 4 hours of trolling!! nothing real big but lots of action…
OldSchool, your courage deserves an admiration. May “the man upstairs” grant you many more decades of this enjoyment.

America needs more people like you, captain! Way to keep up the fighting spirit and get back in the saddle. May your clickers stay buzzing, your rods stay bending, and your coolers stay mahi’d for many years to come!

Good to have you back oldtimer. It hasn’t been the same on CF without your valuable input and experience. Glad the ticker is squared away.
May the road rise to meet you and the wind be always at your back.
