First trip

Ive been kayaking for several years now but mostly just for fun to go swim or whatever, not fishing. Ive fished a little on lake keowee and caught one bass but thats it. I just got my kayak home in charleston and am heading out tomorrow morning. Its an ocean kayak prowler big game. Very stable, 7 rod holders total, anchor trolley comfortable seat and paddle. Im leaving from cherry point and planning to fish docks, oysters, and small creeks. I caught some live shrimp today that ill take with me.

As for carrying live bait, do yall just tow one of the live bait buckets with holes? it seems to me it would make if difficult to paddle so what do yall do? Im also freezing waterbottle to take to drink instead of a cooler. Do yall do differently or is that most common? Thanks for any help

Set the bait pucket on the Rod Pod lid when you’re paddling. Otherwise it’s one heck of a good sea anchor

I carry a cooler. Take more to drink than you think youll need. I never leave the landing with less than 3 liters
