I definitely want some of her dumb luck because it is better than anybody else’s skill. Have your reels done at Haddrell’s West Ashley, I have tried everybody else, and they are the absolute best. Great job on the fish, saw you last night at the Lady Anglers Captain’s meeting.

Congrats on a great day of fishing …and catching Heather!! So glad the weather was cooperative and you and your crew made it there and back safely…
…but on another note…I dont think I’d ever mention “body bags” and boat in the same sentence…bad karma for sure.
take care and congrats again.

I meant the bags that you put ice in and the big fish… Although - that may be needed for tournies only, because when we filleted the wahoo back at the dock, virtually no blood line - and tasted delicious! I suppose I bled him, and honestly, it made a noticible difference in the quality of the meat - Sashimi Grade Wahoo!!!
Next time I’m gonna bleed a dolphin to see the effect on the blood line & quality of meat. Less blood line = more meat… or so it seems to me.

I know a few popular orgs and a few high level bureaucrats who will make it happen if you wanna pursue this.
I will personally oppose your efforts, but just let me know. I understand that non profits that are involved with politico’s have to keep making a living somehow.
Might as well turn them onto this to take some focus off banning certain species of fish or fishing in specific areas…

This coming from the man that once said every boat is small in the ocean?
Careful Phin - they may categorize your boat as a “small” boat too. Then what?

I bet there are Guys that will sit around in their 16 ft alumacrafts now thinking they can go to the ledge “on a good day” after seeing this post.
I am glad that Y’all made it back safe, But the ocean is no place to take chances. You could be out there on a very “calm” day and BAMMMMMM a storm build right over head and put you in 10 foot seas and a 17 foot boat is no match.
People think before you act.
Going to Church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.
You are the offspring of 5 monkeys having But Secs with a retarded fish squirrel. CONGRADULATION!!!
35 Gallons is wonderful! I will burn that just to get to the lighthouse!! Great catch!!
Here we go again. The “I would not take a boat offshore 1 inch shorter than mine” discussion. Does not matter if your boat is 17 feet or 100 feet the poop can hit the fan fast. Not everyone can afford a professional captain and crew to take them fishing. Again Great day Heather! Looks like you are doing it the RIGHT way.
Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
WOW is all I can say! Awsome pics!! Great day on the water. Digging the shots of the blood covered deck, Heather embracing the fish for some good pics and the smiles on their faces. What an adventure! Captain Tom? Maybe a 17 footer is the ticket. I mean 35 gallons of fuel? Come on. We went right past the fish today to around 250 feet it seems. Once again what a great day!! Congrats!!
Fishing sucks down here…stay up there!!
