First Tuna in over a decade

The other day I went out on the Miss Amanda with Lynnmcd and Kut08 and we caught a Blackfin Tuna. I’ve not had fresh tuna in over a decade and it was every bit as good as I remember.

My lovely wife cooked it three ways. The first was a pan sere with salt, pepper, and onion powder cooked in butter. The second was grilled with Montreal Steak Seasoning. The third was marinated in an Asian blend of soy, ginger, vinegar, honey, garlic and crushed red pepper flakes.

It was accompanied by a glass of light red wine, fettucini alfredo, broccoli, rice, fresh sweet peppers and romaine lettuce leaves with your choice of greek vinaigrette or ranch.

Here’s the plate.

Wow that’s awesome. Lucky you

Favorite tuna is simiilar to the Asian style you enjoyed. I’ve got.a killer marinade I use frequently

Actually cooked up a whole pink snapper and some shrimp with it last night… Sooooooo good

Should add that Harris teeter has tuna medallions on special about once a month and they are worth getting for 4.99 a pound. Good stuff
