Just sold my boat and got my first kayak. Been looking around, but stumbled on this deal at Dick’s. It was the floor model with some cosmetic scratches and a few plastic pieces broken. Easy fixes for a few bucks. The closer was that I got it Half off! Reg $599.

That is actually a pretty decent fishing yak. My son has one we also got at Dick’s. I got the extremely pissed off customer discount (long story). If I was told correctly, that yak is a knock-off made from the old Tarpon mold. It will paddle and fish just fine. You can also get a rudder kit for it that I find makes things a bit easier. Enjoy.

I’ve got the same kayak and have had it for about 3 years now. I have caught a lot of fish from it and really enjoyed it. There are only a couple things I don’t like. Can’t stand up in it for sight fishing, low to the water so I get a bit wetter than i’d like and it doesnt track that great. Don’t get me wrong these aren’t huge problems, they are just the ones i have found with it.
What kind of dog is that in the first pic? Looks like legs of a weimaraner. I’ve got one and havent seen many around is why I ask.
