We installed our first re-power Yamaha 225 SHO on a 2003 Triton TR20 bass boat.
We removed a 2003 Evinrude 200 H.O., that ran 71.9 on GPS it’s best day.
The Yamaha 225 SHO was impressive, it ran 79.3 on GPS just a half hour out of it’s second hour of break in, full tank of fuel, full tackle boxes and gear. The hole shot seemed to be twice as fast as the 200 Evinrude which had a 24 pitch Raker II. The Yamaha has a 27 Pitch non-vented prop, turned 5900 rpm at W.O.T.
If this engine holds together, so far it is everything Yamaha said it would be.

We have had multiple repowers due to people tired of two strokes and paying 60 dollars a trip just on motor oil. Its nice having a four stroke that is lighter , faster and more fuel efficient then the two strokes and four strokes on the market now.
From reds to marlin you got it.
Majek 20 Xtreme
