I havent been able to get out but once in the last couple weeks but plan on hitting it a couple days next week. Any idea on what the cooler temps will do to the fishing? I know how to catch fish when they are in the fall pattern and then later on when the water temp drops and they start schooling up. But it seems like we always struggle to catch fish the first couple weeks of november when things are transitioning. Any advice on that? I have a couple guys that want to come down next week to go shrimping but I think that will be a bust so I thought about fishing instead but I don’t have a good feel for what the cooler temps will do to the fish. Thanks
Some of my best fishing last year was in November, fishing MM on a jighead.
Read this article. It gives some great insight and info for inshore fishing and how reds and trout respond to water temp. changes.
It has helped me a lot.

WATCH FOR BAIT,LOOK FOR THE PORPOISES,AND MOVE AFTER 10 MINUTES WITHOUT A BITE!INCOMING TIDE WHEN YOU CAN SEE BAIT BEING CHASED.CLOSE TO SHORELINE.OUTGOING TIDE CLOSE TO CREEK OUTLETS DOWNSTREAM SIDE OF OUTLET. GOOD LUCK!
Question: When fishing the outgoing tide downstream of a creek mouth. Do you anchor little farther down and cast upstream, or do you anchor a little farther out and cast across and upstream ?
Thanks,

depends on the wind…but I have found that bait should be in direction of flow…just try not to disturb the area you are fishing…have you ever noticed that bait go with the flow???most predator fish wait downstream and ambush as opposed to chasing…I am sure there are exceptions. but my experience shows these (above) observations,

Thanks to another member here these are no porpoises they are in fact DOLPHINS…my mistake
Sounds like good advice. Are you targeting the edges and grass lines around open bays or the flats and backs of creeks this time of year?
