Fish/bait report 6/19/19

Fished lower incoming for about an hr and the fish cooperated. Got a slam all on one kind of artificial. Ill give you a clue they Gulped it. Caught the flounder and red dragging and bouncing the bottom where the structure met the mud flat. Then i started to fish fish the chartreuse 4inch swimming mullet faster on the top of the water column because i saw trout popping and on the third cast as soon as it hit the water a trout got it. Lost 3 jigs 2 were swallowed and 1 broke me off.
Switched to a mirror lure and no bites. Over cast conditions with a brief shower. The red had a tag that said reward inside but i didnt see anything that could be iside so i assume the reward was collected.

The everytype of bait is in the creeks, menhadden are by the beaches and inlet channels and crabs of all types are all over. Large schools of mullet have been by the beaches and inlets with a few tarpon seen around them.

Thanks for the report 40. Good info and some technique tips.

Not a bad way to spend an afternoon! Lol @ reward inside, that must be a new type of tag!

Good fishing there 40". I hate to have to go back to harbor, but tired of catching babies in the river! Wife wants some flounder and all I can find in river is shorts.

Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it!

You go to the SC DNR website and report the number on the yellow tag along with the location of the catch and size. The DNR sends you a tee shirt or a buff for reporting the catch.

The tag said info inside but it looked like wire or cable in the tag so i assumed it had a capsal with info on the end that was cut off. I dont think the tag said any numbers on it. The flounder was small like 12 or 13 inches.

The orange tags have numbers on them also
My buddy caught a red fish with a orange tag and they sent him a check for I believe $100
