fish disposal at the marinas?

hey ya’ll, i have a question. At the marinas around here are fish carcasses thrown in the dumpsters at the marinas or are they generally just tossed back in the water? I’m trying to find some big shark bait for tonight since i had to toss my big baits when my deep freeze died on me. any help as to where i could score some big baits on short notice would be appreciated. or if someone just happens to be coming in to the IOP marina this evening around 1800 or so and might have some fish they are cleaning and wouldn’t mind me taking the left overs off thier hands let me know.

I would bet they toss them in the water. Sellsfish on here has a seafood joint in Summerville and can probably hook you up with some carcasses.

Thanks jws, I’ll see if I can get a hold of him.

back when I used to work at the IOP marina we had blue gut buckets right by the cleaning tables. We would take them back in the creek to dump them but if you took the guts i’m sure the dockhand wouldn’t mind you making his day a little easier

Thanks SF Crew, also thank you sellsfish. I’ll be making good use of the fish you gave me. Also, you have the freshest looking seafood I have seen other than fresh caught. Expect to see me next week to give you some business.

your welcome…good luck

Dumpster at ripley…follow your nose…

Man…all we needed was crabs today. You couldn’t keep the charks off. Anyone who wants to catch huuge Spinners…go to the tip of the North Jetty at Winyah Bay. My Goodness…We caught them, Bonnetheads, and a nice Blacktip.

Last week in Tampa, a 150lb plus tarpon was eating our mangrove snapper carcasses. That was cool! some dude hooked up with it on a head of a redfish and it spooled him in a second. Big fish hang around where they dump em
