Fish for wildlife supper

Thanks to all who donated their fish for the wildlife supper at lake Murray baptist church. The wildlife supper is February 22 and all are invited to come. Thank you very much. Catchall.

I’m hoping to be out there fishing in a week or two. Please post if you need more fish. If the water clears in the elbow area I should be able to catch a bunch of white perch.

Spoonmaster, I moved to the Johns and Bear creek area after the elbow got so muddy and the perch has not slowed down. We are catching real nice perch in the area.:sunglasses:

Some of the biggest I’ve ever caught are in hollow creek Near river channel by island where all the boats are at harbor watch. They will pull a striper rod with hering on it down like a striper.

I appreciate the advice, but due to the damage to the toonboat’s wiring I’m limited to trolling motor only. Fogman took DTP3 and myself out yesterday. We fished the Chapin side and kept a few good sized perch. DTP3 also caught a nice crappie and catfish. Most of the perch we caught were smaller than what we usually keep. Probably threw back 30 or 40. They didn’t seem to be real aggressive, almost like they fed heavily on Saturday or Sunday.

I’m sure I hindered the fishing yesterday due to some recent surgery. Fogman would have probably covered a lot more of the lake and found more fish, but he was being careful not to injure the “old guy”! Still, for me atleast, it beat sitting home watching TV. Thanks Fogman for a nice if windy day on the water. It was nice meeting DTP3, a good young fisherman.

I did know about those hog perch in the mouth of Hollow, but it would have been tough going with a 20-30 mph southwest wind. Still, it was a fun day with you and DTP3. He is an outstanding young angler and fun to have on the boat:smiley:

Fog, I go back for a follow-up on Friday the 24th. Hopefully the doctor will remove his restrictions. Then maybe I’ll have a couple of weeks before they decide whether or not to do more chemo. If you’re going in the next few weeks and have room, save me a spot on the boat. Either that or I’ll play some golf.
The water is still like chocolate milk up here. My friend still hopes to see your center console some day, but he is currently covered up with a big honey-do list.
I think your boat was running a little slower on Monday. Must have been that big lunch bag that DTP3 brought with him. One thing’s certain, he wasn’t going to go hungry! Just kidding!
