Fish ID

Does anyone know what this fish is? I do not have a good pic of its head but it had a mouth kind of like a catfish with no whiskers.

Cobia

Yep. Wonder if you could tag one that size and see where he ends up?

Dammed, I’ll bet that smells like a fish?

Thanks for the help.

Definitely a cobia juvenile interested in where and how you caught it. might be a stocked fish habitat also important. thanks

Little tiny baby Cobia, saw someone cooler one of those last year at Mt. Pleasant Pier (#OGT), hopefully that worked out well for him

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

Didn’t DNR just let some go? Thought I read that somewhere that they had released a bunch of little cobra and trout. Not long ago.

Just got a good laugh, I want to know where the cobras got released so I don’t get bit. You must have a phone just like yakman.

Thanks again Penny for a good laugh in the middle of the night.

BTW, glad to hear you are ok and definitely take it easier from now on and stay hydrated. I love reading your posts.

Walterboro? cobras or cobia? I don’t think either would survive around here, no saltwater and lots of snake haters.

Thanks for the laugh Penny! cobras! what’s next, lions? and no we don’t want to see Roo in a lion costume.

Ones that DNR let go were in Colleton R. back behind Daws Is.

This one was caught in the Folly River. It was released and looked healthy when it swam off.
