Can you guys tell me what this is? My friend caught this yesterday pretty far up a creek around some structure. This is the only photo he snapped before releasing.

yep that is a baby gag. I have caught several of them inshore along w a few mangrove snapper.

Thanks fellas. My friend and I both thought it looked like a gag but neither of us had a clue if you’d find the little ones inshore. Sure would be nice if you could get the big ones from a creek bank.
