I was wondering what everyone uses as a measuring board? I was looking to get one for the tournament next month, on the rare chance that I may actually catch something. I have a 22in field and stream metal board but its already proven to be worthless after catching a 25 inch red. I keep a tape measure just incase but its tough to get an accurate pic with it bending. Any ideas or specific products/locations to buy would be appreciated.

I got one of DNR’s fish measuring stickers, cut off the measuring part (like a long stick-on ruler) and stuck on the inside of my kayak where I can lay the fish to measure it.

I picked one up the other day but I realized I couldn’t find a good location on my kayak for it. I thought about putting it on my paddle but if I lay the paddle across the kayak the pic of the fish might not be accurate.

I also put the DNR sticker on my kayak. It wouldn’t fit anywhere whole, so I had to cut it up. It won’t enable me to measure anything longer than 15.5", but I still have all of information on how big fish need to be and how many I can have… If I can manage to catch any at all that is.
I tried one of those green ones and put the sticker over it. But, it didnt take long for that thing to chip and break. I’ve seen several good homemade measuring devices. One was a piece of thin plywood with a hinge that could be easily folded. The guy slapped a DNR sticker on it and it looks nice. I use the thick folding plastic thing that we got at the IFA tourney. I just roll it up and store it in my crate.
Something that works well is a section of vinyl gutter with the cap on one end. Put the sticker inside on a side wall, lay the fish in and measure. I just didn’t want to have to tote anything else with me.

The 321Fish.com official ruler is good. Pretty sure you can order online. For tournaments i put one of those on a board I made. It really helps while taking a picture with this. I added some tie-down straps on it to hold the fish still. It allows you to have one hand on your camera and the other pinching the tail (every 1/8" counts). There was a video on another site on how to make it. I’ll try and find it

That is a great setup!
