Fish Needed for Gyotaku/Fish Prints

Hey Everyone!
I am in need of fish to print to expand my collection. Just wondering if anyone has fish that they are willing to donate. I have no preference, and will pretty much take any whole fish as long as they are in decent shape. If given a fish, I will return the favor by giving that angler a completed fish print of that fish.

Normally I will charge $50-$150 depending on the size of the print, however since I am in need of different species to expand my personal collection, you will get a print of that fish for free. The prints make great gifts or pieces of art to hang out the office/home. Print is just the actual print, no frame or matting included.

Attached is a recent print of a Black Sea Bass. I can be reached via email at mcaskill105@gmail.com

Thanks,
Mata

The ones I’ve seen some people do aren’t all that great, this one of the BSB however, is very good.

Very cool.

Those look really cool- I saw a few like that at a shop in Rincon Puerto Rico

Sellsfish Premium Seafood in Summerville was very generous and donated 5 fish, which included a grouper, squirrelfish, sheepshead, porgy, and drum, all of which were in excellent condition! I will be busy tonight printing all of the fish and then going back and detailing them.

Here is the print of the Scamp Grouper that I received from Sellsfish Premium Seafood. The excellent condition of the fish led to a beautiful print!

It will hang proudly in our store…thanks!

I caught a killer 12" redfish yesterday that would have been nice. That is cool art though.

Here are prints of a Vermillion Snapper, Red Porgy, and Sheepshead. Thank you Sellsfish for providing the Red Porgy and Sheepshead! what’s with the oriental looking characters?

Just askin’…

ok, after a quick internet search I get it…

I’m getting an idea for prints with a gynotaku basis…

gyno as in, well you know…

and taku as in rubbing…

I am going to be rich!

Every gynotaku is unique!

Send me your gyno and I can memorialize it with my own unique taku!

Like shooting fish in a barrel…

The oriental looking characters translate to my last name. It is the traditional way to sign Gyotaku. As to your second post, good luck!! :stuck_out_tongue:
