Does it work? Waste of money, time, etc? Let me know?

i know quite a few sport fishers that use squid, tuna ect ect seen a few with big marin painted…

its not hard to do… the getting a decent template is key… and having a second hand is also key…

if your out and getting cleaned/repainted depending if you are doing the work or paying the shop… if you can get a few good hours id say give it a shot.

Thought about using the negative from one of the “marlin mud flaps” (or whatever they are called) from my local gasket cutting company. Any one have opinions on color?

Was just talking to a buddy who had it done this year. Said last trip out he had a big blue come up beside the boat and swim next to him for a bit…assumed it the fish was looking at this squids on the bottom.

Fish never ate but it seemed to raise it.

Got some for Christmas a few years ago as a joke:smiley:. Glad my friend thought it was funny. The only thing I noticed with them was when putting them on I saw my trailer was cracked[:0].

We’re about to haul our boat out for bottom paint, and I was wondering the same thing. I’m also interested in knowing any colors that might have worked.
I would like to use the holographic stickers, but I don’t think they’d hold up with the boat being in the water all the time.

A local sign shop can make you what you want if you pull some jpg’s off the www for them.

I have some stick on flyers from fishrazr.com. picked them up at the boat show a few years back. They really have held up well, for stick-ons under the water line.

Effective?? I generally catch fish, maybe not like some, and get a number of strikes close to the boat. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a fish obviously attracted to the stickers, but I like to think they might have some impact.

Sunny, what species and color are you using?

Should remove some “boat shyness”, I would think.

I have seen them for sale at Haddrel’s Point. You might want to stop in and ask them.

I cut my bamboo outrigger company stickers into the shape of flying fish when my new company went belly up.They are white with red trim and seem to work alright…I did save one and stick it on a visor for a keepsake.

Flying fish shaped. Color??? depends on the angle of the reflected light, They’re just the silver ones, but they are kind of holographic (?) foil.

Might as well but a decal on the bottom that says HEERE FISHIE, HERE FISHIE RED WITH WHITE HIGHLIGHTS ON A POWDER BLUE BOTTOM !!! It aint gona stay on long like my keel guard!

Can?t say wether they work or not, but fished a black hulled 27 Scotty with white decals for several years and we did quite well in the tournaments. Of course, it might have been the lures, place, speed, bait, teasers, …, what the h377 does a couple of dollars difference make in an offshore trip? Confidence makes more of a difference than a lot of things.
