Fished in 54' 9/25/2010 (Need Fish ID)

Headed out Sat toward Edisto Banks. My wife spotted a large peice of bamboo in 54’ of water. I pulled out the light spinning rods and a peice of shrimp and bam “Dolphin”. It was cover up with schoolies. We had a blast and left them biting. I had fish to clean so we headed back in. Left at 11am and back at the dock at 3pm.

Ended up keeping 9 and released a mystery fish. It is a mystery to me anyway. Looks like a cobia with a flat ribbed plate on its head.

Anybody know what this fish is?

Here is a few pics of the Mahi sandwiches.

Nahhh, that’s a cobia that I stomped last time to try and make him 33", but it just wasn’t doin so I threw em back. Surprised he survived.

Those little dolphin would have been so fun on the flyrod!!

…because everything is a conspiracy!!!

I know I can get a few big grouper with a livewell full of those! Where did you say the bamboo was??

Just went out and snapped a pic of the chart plotter for you. It was drifting SE Sat. The cursor is on the end of our drift. Good luck.
