Since I mainly fish shallow (salt) water, would a FF do me any good? I’d like to hear from guys that yak fish in water less than 6’ deep with a FF and a few basics about how you are using it.
I have a portable FF on my yak I fish 6’ or less creeks and flats, and i simply dont use it. Just dont have a reason to use it im fishing structure that i can see at low tide. Also fishing docks and what not. I dont know if this helps but its just my. 02
I had one on my boat (connections corroded out and crapped out on me!). I really didn’t use it much for inshore fishing. It came in handy a few times fishing new water and looking for trout holes, but most the time it just took up space on the deck. I did use it Cobia fishing down in Beaufort, and I could see where it would be handy for fresh water fishing.

That confirma what I thought. I guess I’ll have to figure out a different toy to buy.
spend the money on an anchor pin instead of an anchor, best money I have spent on my kayak yet
