Fishin from shore

First post! Moved to charleston almost two years ago from the hellish desert of Phoenix,Arizona with the intentions of catching a lotta fish, not as easy as I thought. I have fished freshwater my whole life from Nebraska to AZ to Pennsylvanian and everywhere in between, but what are these (**() things you call tides? Just kiddin, just kiddin. Anyways I am starting to finally get a grasp of the tides and finding “fishy” spots. Hit up a spot yesterday and got into some fish. Mid-incoming tide, floating mud minnows under some “cast a country mile” billy bob bobbers. Caught 2 reds,a nice trout, and a couple small flounder. How do you post pictures from an Iphone???If anybody knows of any parts of town that have decent shore angling it would be much appreciated. Not looking for specific spots at all, just a general direction. Thanks and hopefully you’ll be seeing more of me.

Congrats on the inshore slam, and welcome to the site!

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

Hit the bridges. Get to each one right before the outgoing tide slows and fish until the incoming speeds up. Then you can drive further inland and catch the same tide at another bridge as the tide is later as you go inland. And then the thousand of acres of salt marsh you can wade for tailing reds is a whole 'nother can of worms. Bob

@Bob, so get to a spot about and hour before low and stay until it begins to rush back in? Also, what are some bridges you can get near. I know you can’t fish from them, but it is still hard to fid a spot to get your line in the water. With that said, I have had some luck with trout by small bridge on cosgrove creek. Any help would be appreciated!

Early to bed, early to rise, fish like hell and make up lies.

If you are on James/Johns Island you can pretty much fish from the bridges esp, going toward Wadamalaw Is.The bridge cross Church Creek. You can fish on either side, you can also walk down the bank to the water. Also go out toward ravenel and hit the bridges there.

Double D.

Sorry Double D I am kind of new to the area. Church creek? Where about is that?
