Headed out at 2 arived in 5ooft at 5:30 put lines in on scattered weed line in 20min had a nice bull dolphin in the boat marked the spot went another 1/2mile or so with nothing circled back to the spot we marked and as soon as we hit that spot the reel started screaming my father grabbed the rod only to watch it peeling line start to circle on the fish when the reel goes silent popped line due to our fist blue marlin he put on one he!l of a show tring to spit the lure. It was a black and blue islander. Lost several other dolphin. So we had heard that earlier this week was a nice weed line in 800ft so we pushed on out to 1000ft found some fair weed but no fish or fliers. Came in and fished for some bottom fish. Total for the day one nice bull lost a marlin and 27 bsb 1 vermillion

There are plenty of posts on this site discussing limits already. You couldn’t have said “nice try on your first blue” and left it at that? Why would you assume he didn’t have 6 people people on the boat or are you just trying to be the first person to “catch” him doing something. This sort of thing is getting very very old on this site and had already run off more fishermen that were willing to share their knowledge than you could imagine!

Glad you said it. I agree. It’s comments like this that really make me not even want to post. I have stopped posting reports because of the people on this site and their ignorant comments as well. Ive met some great people on here and ive also met the biggest aholes in the world.

good try, i saw big blue two weeks ago jumping and chasin some tuna but he had no concern with what we had. anyway, good job and get him next time.
Just for those who are concerned about our fish and limits! We had 5 adults and 2 kids that were 9 and 13 all but the kids had license for salt water. The kids caught 75% of the fish if that was ok with the one worried about our boat and what happens one it. Those who worry about others limits cant catch enough to fill theirs. By the way the kids had a blast catching our limits of fish. They were so tired of catching fish in 110ft of water that they slept the whole way home.

3-4 years ago when you could still keep one snowy a man, we were thankful some wives, girlfriends, and little kids came along for a ride on my dad’s sporty. Didn’t mean to jack the thread. (which is laughable)
