We took her way down on 640 line and 1800ft looking for a big edge that wasn’t there.Trolled back to north and a bit inshore til noon w/ only 2 KDs.We picked up and ran north to find a nice edge in 750-1500 6nm south of 226.Went from nothing in box to limit of 40 mostly nice gaffers in 2.5hrs.Also had a young man release a white, his first billfish.Nice day for a swim out there.Seas could not have been nicer. The water turned neon blue off the stern w/ gaffers a coupla times…fun to watch.

Nice billfish !
I guess I’ll be first for the fun of it: " You didn’t bring that aboard did you ? "
" Did you have to pull on the bill like that just for a picture. ? "
I’m just kidd’n but some on here aren’t - will they chime in now, I doubt it now.
Congratulations on the first billfish…!

No
No, held onto it to make sure it would swim off healthy.
You can’t make everybody happy.
I’m not the angler but I’m sure he appreciates your congratulations!
I thought this picture is a good one to show how after catching the White the young man gently held onto it while insuring a healthy release. Fish swam off healthy, while providing a lifetime of memories. Perhaps the picture change is more pleasing to the eye.
